NORML — National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws
The oldest US cannabis consumer advocacy organization, founded in 1970. NORML lobbies for legalization at federal and state levels, tracks state legislation, operates a network of state chapters and a legal-defense attorney referral service, and publishes a weekly legislative roundup.

NORML's state chapters maintain the most comprehensive publicly available database of US state cannabis laws. The organization also operates a legal committee (the NORML Legal Committee) of defense attorneys that publishes guidance and represents cannabis-related cases.
