National advocacy organization focused on changing state and federal cannabis policy through lobbying, ballot initiatives, and public education. MPP has played a direct role in passing the majority of state medical cannabis laws enacted since 1996.

MPP works on cannabis policy reform at the state and federal level. The organization operates a 501(c)(4) advocacy arm and a 501(c)(3) educational foundation. It has been involved in drafting and lobbying for the majority of US state medical-cannabis legislation enacted since California's Proposition 215 in 1996.
